Your Journey to Clean Eating

Knowing what is in your food should be a right, not a privilege.

We Found Mycotoxins Where No One Was Looking

Clean Food Solutions Research Institute

Independent Research for a Safer Food Supply

Clean Food Solutions Research Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to food-safety research, education, and prevention.

Founded by Susan Gonya, BS, MA, RD, LDN, MSN, RN, CCRN, the
Institute began with a simple question:

What are we really feeding our children?

Susan’s research led her to mycotoxins—naturally occurring toxins produced by certain molds. They can develop in crops and foods such as grains, oats, corn products, cereals, pasta, snacks, and infant formula.

Mycotoxins usually cannot be seen, smelled, or tasted, so laboratory testing is needed to detect them. Researchers are studying how repeated exposure may affect digestive health, immune function, development, and overall well-being—especially in infants, children, and other vulnerable populations.

Our Work

The Institute supports independent research to better understand:

·  How common mycotoxins are in the food supply

·  The possible effects of long-term exposure

·  What happens when several mycotoxins occur together

·  Practical ways to prevent and reduce contamination

Our approach is simple: Find the facts and follow the evidence.

Education and Collaboration

Our goal is not to alarm people or tell families to avoid entire categories of food. We want to provide clear, trustworthy information that helps people make informed choices and reduce unnecessary exposure.

We also work with farmers, food growers, processors, and manufacturers to identify where contamination may occur and develop practical ways to prevent or reduce it.

By bringing together researchers, food producers, health professionals, and families, we hope to help create a safer, healthier food supply.

Everyone deserves access to food that is safe, clean, and nourishing.

In good health,
